Hi, I've the same problem. TP700 normally configured, no problem in trasferring program via Ethernet (cable). A command window shows that the device even answers to the PING. But when I try to connect it via Automation Manager (I've to install the famous sm@rt server licence) there is no way to connect it. I do as follows:

TP1500 ALM Transfer error: 16842752 (0x1010000) - Connection error - Solution I had the same trouble and error message, when I have wanted to get sm@art server licence into TP1500. I found alternative and successfull way (described in manual). In TIA Portal, go to Online/HMI Device maintenance/Authorize/Licence. After that the device were visible and connected in ALM and license was successfully transferred. |

Thank you for this post. I had the same problem trying to put a licence key from USB stick onto a TP900 Comfort Panel and it finally worked with this. transfer via Ethernet : make sure the transfer settings on the Panel itself is "Ethernet" (for example by making use of with Sm@rtClient if you're doing this from a distance) Open Tia Portal. There's no need to go online in Tia Portal (but first check if you can go online to see that the connection settings of your PG are OK) Make sure the HW config online and offline is the same (to be sure : download it) After clicking the Menu-option "Online" > "HMI Device maintenance" > "Authorize/License" in Tia Portal: select the connection and press OK => Automation Licence Manager automatically opens with the HMI panel already in the treeview., There's no need to connect manually to a HMI Panel in License Manager. For some reason (mayby not related to this issue), I had to do a restart of my PC and do this procedure again. Tips for Siemens : clarify error message with possible causes, disable the "impossible" manual option in License manager for connecting to HMI TP Comfort.... Kind regards. |
