Hello everyone, 6ES7313-5BG04-0AB0have really only mpi connector for programming? And there's no any opportunity to make connection with this device via DP/DP, DP/PN couples or directly plc <-> plc? Please share with knowledge. thanks in advance! |

Hello,
your question is somehow not clear to me because you ask for programming interface available and then you ask for DP or PN although you know that this CPU has only MPI interface. Yes, you can attach any of expected module as with DP or PN interface and also depended to role on network. As next solution you have available many Gateways with maybe any interfaces and protocol existed conversion available on market so you can only choose |

For more clarity what I mean: this one from the topic 6ES73135BG040AB0in description is (if follow the link) clearly written at first line;
and for comparison the next one from Siemens list in description is clearly written at first line;
from where I clearly know it has 2 DP ports (for Profibus) apart with MPI (programming). So, I am really surprised with an approach of description concerning the first one. So my question is. Does it 6ES73135BG040AB0 really has one MPI port for programming and cannot be Profibus newok partner as it has not any DP ports as per its description? I would suppose it is combined. However normaly it should be written somewhere as per picture attached. But it is not my case. Different CPU. On similar picture the CPU of my interest is written nothing. Hello, from where I clearly know it has 2 DP ports (for Profibus) apart with MPI (programming). your description is wrong, it has 2 RS485 ports, one MPI only and one pure PB DP Port for both Master and Slave functionality. You can easy after click on your 6CG04 link select option generate full description PDF about this CPU type where all is described perfectly and clearly. I think that market set rules and options what is required for functionality and also for price so many different types with available interfaces are available. As you wish you can select best option for your approach, in case you have problem after some time of work that you need add some interface for other comm channel you can add comm module with required interface, as I explained already in my first post. So my question is. Does it6ES73135BG040AB0really has one MPI port for programming and cannot be Profibus newok partner as it has not any DP ports as per its description? This MPI port can be used also for data exchange with specific protocols without doubts but it isn't PB DP capable natively. You can do it f.ex. PB DP capable with maybe some specific Gateway in case but this can be no very effective step but can be set like that. |
