Hello, Our KTP700 Basic PN HMI is continuously restarting (every 10 sec approx.), similarly as the problem described by karthikk on 6/29/2016.It worked fine during almost a year from now. The 2016 karthikk post contain a set of possible solutions but none of them solves our issue. We hopefully expect a new solution arises since then. We have tried to update, restore and KTP OS recovery (reset to factory), using the PN/IE PG/PC interface for point to point communication and also the USB restore procedure, but nothing works. The KTP is reachable using cmd ping from W10. The KTP is accesible from TIA Portal during a short period of time, showing the last IP we manually configured on it some time ago. The KTP shows periodically the SIMATIC HMI welcome screen, but it does not show the Start Center screen. Is there anything else we can do to recover it? Thank you for any help in advance. The above method should be the best way. Do notice the specification on the USB thumb-drive to be used. Also take care that the file offered at the link does not contain the HMI image. A client recently had issues of perpetual restarting KTP700. A USB thumb-drive was prepared that contained the image and user program. My remote-assist attempts failed. He however persisted and tried again trying out other thumb-drives. Using an old thumb-drive worked for him. Consider contacting Siemens Support if volunteer users on the forum cannot be of help. |

Hello MOS2022 In case of a Basic Panel 2nd Generation as yours you cannot use the Reset to factory option in Simatic Prosave!! this will never work. The only way is to use the USB Recovery Mode as you have already posted: https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/de/view/109744950/en These panels have often problems with some kinds of USB devices. i have also a few USB sticks that do not work with this. Use an older one like a 2GB USB 2.0 Stick or something like this Bye Murof |
