I am trying to migrate a program from S7 300 to S7 1500. 
I have a 1511 V1.1 for tests which I am working with.

The program needs to create a connection to a PC and then send and receive data from the PC.

I managed to create a connection using the TCON FB with a TCON_IP_v4 data type.

I tried to use the TCON_PARAM data type (like it was used for the 300 PLC) but I could not establish an active connetion this way with the 1511 PLC

For the HardwareID I used 64 which is the hardware identifier address of the profinet interface (for the 300 the profinet number was used for example if the cable  was connected at the X2 port then I used 2 as the hardware ID).

As far as the local defined instace of TCON_IP_V4 or a dedicated DB , I had the same result with both.

My question is which parameter is better to use with TCON FB for 1500?
