Hello Prasa; This setup would work, depending on the description of the UU-1 and UU-2 components in your schematic. Do they represent the fiber optic cable, and why are there 2 in this case? If not, what do they represent in your design? Have a look at the following table, from the OLM operating instructions manual. https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/109476821 It will give you the types of F.O. cable imposed for each model of OLM, check whether the glass F.O. selected corresponds to this list. Then you can see how far the signal will travel with this equipment. One point, which should not really affect your design: why have you added a pair of CP 443-5 Ext. in the S7-400H racks, when you could have used the integrated Profibus interface on the CPUs? Unless you already have a fully loaded Profibus network operating on the CPUs' DP interface, there is no particular reason to add to the cost and complexity of the setup. As I said, this design should work (if the F.O. cable has been selected properly) it is just a question of optimization. Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |
