I have tried to use this PST tool 4.2 for to hunt the network ip for some Siemens hardware but unfortunately it can not find anything, when activating browse with F5, it shows me immediately the message, "No station detected in the network" but in real there are station configured, when I use the same software from my colleagues notebook, then it find the stations, set/pg pc interface setting is ok , network card driver is up to date(latest), already tried to reinstall PST but the issue still remains. Switching off windows fire wall does not help, ip setting from windows site is in the same class as the Siemens hardware, funny thing is that I can ping this Siemens hardware in the network but PST can not find anything.

Does somebody have some other ideas?

Firewall, antivirus, anxti-xyzw disable it at all and try again: PST is a portion of software from Simatic Manager for assign addresses, if you have istalled  Simatic Manager or maybe TIA Portal try explore the network.

I'm sure that you have select the right PC/PG Interface for the entry point S7 Online, right?

may be the problem related to comptability with OS. What is the version of your OS?

Thank you for your reply, Proneta is working, I found alreay out why Primary did not work.

In windows 7 prof 64 you need to unblock the exe file before installing, otherwise some settings

for the windows firewall will be not installed. So when I unblocked it (right click on the exe, goto properties, tabmeny general you will find the check box block or unblock)

I've just installed v4.2.0.1 on w10 pro but when I try clicking on 'Set PG/PC Interface' nothing happens. So I can't select the adapter to use.

Note F5 gives the error message select an adpater.

Check the ethernet adapter properties shows PROFINET IO protocol (DCP/LLDP) was installed OK.

I have tried re-installing twice now but the same result.

All suggestions welcome,

Same problem for me, after installing Primary setup tool, everything disappeared in set PG/PC interface.

Uninstalling PST did not help. Now the list is empty, can't connect even to PLCSIM :/

Please tell us which OS version you have on your PCs? Or check comptability betweeb your Os and PST.

Windows 10 Pro is the OS I'm using, on a 64-bit OS. Support is claimed by pst 4.2.1 for this os.
