Hi Miranda_AU2M8, I think Motion controller LMC600 also support Modbus TCP communication.Have you tried it to configure Modbus TCP IP communication with S7-1500. May be this link will be helpful to you to configure Modbus TCP/IP communication. You need to check whether LMC600 work as I-Device or not. May be this link will be helpful to you to configure I-Device communication. Br, AmolG. |

Hello Miranda; From the description of the LMC600 in the following catalog, it is designed to act as a Profinet IO-Controller: Profinet exchanges are defined between a Profinet IO-Controller and one or more IO Devices. Profinet does not allow 2 IO-Controllers to exchange data directly. So if your LMC600 is an IO=Controller, you have 2 choices: - setup the S7-1500 as an I-Device (intelligent IO-Device); in this cae, AmolG's link can be of great help, excerpt that you must apply it to the S7-1500 as I-Device, and LMC600 as IO-Controller; Read the i-Device in Standard Environment pdf file in AmolG's earlier link to see how to make a S7-1500 as i-device. - keep both the S7-1500 and LMC600 as IO-Controllers, and use a PN/PN coupler between the 2 to allow data exchanges between them. PN/PN Coupler Getting Started https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/88737127 SIMATIC Bus links PN/PN coupler https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/44319532 Just out of curiosity, you mentionned a GSDML file for the LMC600 in your first post. Could you post a link to that file? The fact that there is such a file would n¸mean that it is expected to run as an i=device, which contradicts the information from Schneider. Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |
