Hello, I have a TIA v17 project with different PROFINET networks representing mobile conveyors of an automation plant. Each network has a PLC controller and uses a WLAN client (SCALANCE W722-1) that can be connected to one of the various Access Point (SCALANCE W788-1) of the infrastructure. In every PLC, I'd like to retrieve the actual AP which the WLAN client is connected to and the signal strength. I thought there was the possibility to add modules, from the hardware catalog, to the WLAN client that the PLC could read via PROFINET, but there isn't. I already had a look to this post (but it's quite old) and this page (even older than the previous one). I was wondering if I should go deep into SNMP or there is a smarter/faster way to retrieve this data from the WLAN client. Thank you in advance. |
