A few days ago I read a post from one of the contributors which said it is possible to set the HMI time on PLC using the system function "SetPLCDateTime".

So I downloaded TIA V19 and I opened the exaple project. In the example project there is this functionality.

However in my project, I do not see this functionality.The PLC used in both the projects is S7 1511. In the example project, Unified Basic is used whereas I am using Unified Comfort. What can the reason be for me not being able to see the fsystem function?

Can you double check if your Unified Comfort Panels device version is the latest version 19.0.0.2?

I want to use the system function "SetPLCDateTime" to set the date and time of the PLC using the Date and time of the HMI.

I have configured it as it is mentioned in the project file. However the PLC time is not chaging. Could anyone help?

The access type is full access. I have a test unit and I have not set any password protection.

I updated the firmware on Friday and tested it once. It actually worked the first time. Then I shut down the system and started it again on Monday. Now unfortunately it is not working.
I also discovered that I am not able to use simple system functions like "SetBitinVariable".

Even thought he communication is working. I can ping to the HMI and also download the changes. I can also hop between different screens. 

I am very confued and don't know how to move forward.

The HMI device I am using is 6AV2 128-3GB06-0AX1 version 19.0.0.2. It is a Unified Comfort Panel.

I have configured the 6AV2 128-3GB06-0AX1 version 19.0.0.2 in TIA.

The PLC used is 6ES7 511-1AK02-0AB0 v2.9

I was able to use it the HMI when I was using firmware v 17. The I updated the firmware to use "SetPLCDateTime" system function as I had read it is available on Tia V19.
it worked the first time when I used it after the update. I then switched off the system and restarted it again on Monday. Now it is not working. Also the simple system functions like "SetBitinVariable" is not working after the update.

Please provide additional information:

• What HMI device are you using? Is it WinCC Unified PC Runtime or a panel device?
• Please tell us which device version you have configured in the TIA Portal and which device version you have installed.
• Please also provide the firmware version of your PLC.
• Is a user logged on to the device (required for PC Runtime)? Please make sure that the user is not using the HMI Monitor Client role, as this will block all write actions.

I was first using the HMI panel with firmware version 17. I updated the HMI panel as I had read that "SetPLCDateTime" can be used in TIA V19. The panel was updated to v19.0.0.2 on Friday.

After the system update, I used the system function to set the time of the PLC from the HMI. Then I shut the system.

After restart, it is not working any more. Now even simple system function like "SetBitinVariable" is not working anymore. The I/O fields which I used to display date and time has a small yellow warning triangle (I am using the data type "Date and Time"). The digital clock also has a small warning triangle on it.
