I have an MTP700 and set up the smart server and could not find a way to connect to it. Later on I moved my programming cable to port X6 and suddenly I could connect without any problem. Any thoughts and feedback is appreciated.

You mention ports X5 and X6, but I assume you mean X1 (the LAN network, with two ports) and X2 (the WAN network with only one port) instead. I use to connect with Sm@rtClient to the HMI through X2. I haven't tried through X1, but the reason it doesn't work it is probably the fact that with Unified panels they have isolated all the remote connections to come through X2 WAN port.

geri036 Posts: 152 Rating: (5)	Hi guys, On Unified panels with Image update 1 and Image update 2 it is only possible to use Sm@rtClient on port X2. With Image update 3 it is now possible to use Sm@rtClient on both X1 and X2 port. geri036 Posts: 152 Rating: (5)	You can check which image version you have in the control panel of your Unified panel. See the attached screenshot. The best way to do image update on the panel is to download Unified panel image from the Siemens website to USB stick. Then you can put USB stick in your panel and X61 or X62, and in the control panel of the Unified panel you there is and option Update OS, there you can select image from your USB stick and do the update.
