Dear All,

I have wincc V7.4, CP1623, Windows7, Simatic Net PC siftware V13 Sp2. In this system Hardnet-IE V13, REDCONNECT HARDNET-IE V13, and REDCONNECT HARDNET-IE V8.2 licenses are installed. I don't know which license is being used for what.

Now I want to upgrade to Windows10 built 1803 which is compatible with WinCC V7.4 SP1 upd7. So I don't have to upgrade WINCC license. Now for Simatic Net sofftware I have to go with SIMATIC NET V14 SP1 as per compatibility tool.

Now my question is: Do I need to upgrade REDCONNECT license in this case? Is there any upgrade license available? What is difference between hardnet and softnet?

I got this link and it cleared my doubts. Still I dont understand the difference between different licenses listed on mall. And also why upgrade license is not available?
