Hello forum! I hope you all can help it will be very much appreciated! I'm having an issue with uploading NC/PLC data via series upload into my 840DI controller. This problem i think has originated from a dead MCI battery out of the blue which wiped both NC/PLC memory (which has been replaced). My problem is that using the original backups of PLC and NC .ARC files, only NC files upload successfully. Everytime i upload the PLC.ARC file each line of code says error#200#.Sort of similar to this thread (what user Rinaldi says 9th post down, but then their problem seemed to sort itself out). I can see all the correct Axial drives are in the HMI etc so the NC upload has gone ok and get no errors when uploading NC.ARC. I check for consistency before upload in HW Config and it says its fine. I also get a host of other errors which i hope disappear after the PLC upload is complete, but i have a feeling they wont. Error 380040 project error 3 param . Error 380070 no inbound slot for base address 56,76,78,86,88 (size 2) found Error 26105 - Drive of Axis not found (applies to all axis) Error 26106 - Encoder 1 of Axis not found (applies to all axis) I reckon these NC files are for a slightly different setup as a couple of servodrives have been replaced throughout the history of the machine, and these NC/PLC files pre-date the change. This could mean some tinkering in S7 eventually (i could be wrong?). What can i do to get past the PLC uploading error to start with? Is their a certain upload procedure? Because i've set the PLC in stop mode prior to starting the upload. I've been reading around the forums that S3/S4 dials need to be in a certain position but my Simodrive U/E module has only got 4 small switches. I also cannot see anywhere else on both my 840DI or drives, profibus etc where these dials or LED numbers are. (maybe a clue in my hardware version?). Servo-drives also read Error E A831 which i think is normal in its current state. Specs: Siemens 840DI Operator Panel: 012 , MCP483 PLC Version: Unsure where to find PCU50 (i dont think its 50.3) with HMI version unsure Software available: Step 7, HW-config and other various Siemens/HMI related software Ability: Advanced Operator Anymore information required let me know i will do all i can to help! Thankyou! |

Hi, You can see the archive with software such as Sinumerik Integrate Create MyConfig Diff. The Profibus drive archive or SDB perhas inside plc archive as well. You can load here in order we can check whether SDB is inside. You should do proper sequence of startup. Please follow in the following manual, you can download: https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/document/28710259/sinumerik-840di?dti=0&pnid=14595&lc=en-WW Please check also that Profibus connector from the drives is properly connected to the correct Profibus terminal in MCI board (on PCU). MCI board has MPI and Profibus terminal. If you plug Profibus connector to the wrong terminal, it will not work. Check once more, because it has problem with all of the drives, so it must be common problem. |

Hello Cristofoli Int, Please check HDD of PCU50, it must be having NC & PLC arc files. Try to reload the latest (based on date) & check. |

Morning AutoGen_682194, I've attached a folder containing all my .ARC files, I haven't got Sinumerik Integrate unfortunately but if you could take a check that would most appreciated! I've checked I'm in the right MCI slot and it is properly connected and screwed in, double checked cabling from work station to profibus. All visible cable seems ok, no loose ends and no burns. I've been using that manual previously on performing the NC/PLC series files so that fills me with confidence. I just wanted to check if i needed to set anything on the U/E module of the simodrives or any other hardware setting. Morning PISCEAN 2010, HDD seems happy. No major hardware fault there. If you look in the attached folder the NC and PLC files are dated the same and as far as our companies records go this the latest (and only! typical) backup. Thankyou all for the replies! |
