USB MPI/Profibus Adapter Data (6ES7972-0CB20-0XA0)

So you can connect a CP5512 to any place on the Profibus network. - USB adapter can communicate at max. baudrate 1,5 MB/s, and a CP5512 can 12 MB/s - When you want to transfer projects to panels, this is not released with USB PC adapter. My Questions - Does this mean that the USB variant cannot plug into any other part of the DP network other than at the PLC node? Can the adapter communicate with any DP compatible equipment i.e.a Sinamics drive control module CU320(Assuming max baudrate of 1.5mb) Cheers.

The USB PC-adapter needs 24 volt, via MPI/Profibus port. A CPU provides this 24 volt. But not all Profibus slaves have a Profibus port that provides 24 volt.
