CP343-Lean communication problem

Manju Posts: 39 Rating: (0)	Dear all, I'm trying to communicate to CPU315-2DP through CP343-Lean. Type no. of CP343-Lean is 6GK7343-1CX00-0XE0. I created the hardware configuration and downloaded the same through MPI. But CPU goes to STOP and even the STOP LED on the CP is ON. RUN LED on the CP keeps flashing. When I checked up the diagnostic buffer, it says parameter assignment error and difference between preset and actual configuration. Then when we found out the version mentioned on the module is V1.1 but in our hardware configuration Version is V1.0. Will this create a problem? We also tried to update the hardware catalog through internet but there is no update for V1.1. Though there is an update for Version 2.0, it requires Step7 V5.4. But we are using Step7 V5.3 SP3. Can anybody help us out to out the CP343-Lean into operation ? Regards, Manju

J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (412)	Hello Manju, what is mentioned in the Diagnostics buffer of the CPU and CP as it is in Stop / Startup??? I would check this first. Usually the CP with FW V 1.1 runs quite OK. Please try it and post what you find if you do not figure the reason. Best regards J_Bell

Calm_down Posts: 324 Rating: (30)	Hello, what happens if you load only the CPU without the CP connected (and configured)? If this works I guess you may have a faulty CP. Please contact your Customer Service about this. Stay calm.

Calm_down Posts: 324 Rating: (30)	Hello, well, if the CPU works, as you said, and it does not work as soon as you connect the CP I would say you have either a faulty Backplane or a bad CP. I would contact my Customer Support in such a case. Stay calm.
