As background, Pactware needs

- the Sitrans DTM  (versions change over time and it needs to be updated)

- a device specific EDD DTM, the one specifically for 7MF44

- The HART driver for Pactware

If you have connected to other Siemens HART devices, then your copy of Pactware has the Sitrans DTM and the HART driver because both are necessary for HART communications to any Siemens HART field instrument.

The Sitrans DTM required vetting due to export restrictions, so it could not just be downloaded, it required some kind of registration and vetting before your Siemens log-in acccount was given permission to download it.

Since Siemens re-organized their website, I have been unable to locate HART DTM's too.

If no one on this user forum points you towards the download location for the EDD DTM for the 7MF44, then I suggest that you create a Support Request which answered by factory people, not just users. 

I attached an old document describing the basics of HART comm with Pactware, but it's old and the download examples are no longer useable, but it mentions the necessity of using the Sitrans DTM.
