S7-1518-4 PN/DP max number of CPU blocks

dennis_meech Joined: 5/9/2023 Last visit: 6/29/2025 Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	We are using the S7-1518-4 PN/DP CPU, but have hit the limit for the maximum number of 20000 blocks permitted for the CPU. The blurb says that this is a hardcoded limit for the CPU and cannot be changed. Does anyone know if there is an alternative CPU option that allows more than 20000 blocks? It supports 40,000 blocks, double the previous model's capacity of 20,000. Please note that this PLC type requires STEP 7 V20. Kind regards Stefan
