Hello, greetings to all, I am going to be an automation student and we are going to use TIA Portal, I have a MacBook Air M2 and I need to know if it is currently possible to use TIA Portal in a VM (VMware Fusion bc is free) with W11 ARM, I have read the forum and I am going to need a USB C to Ethernet adapter to be able to link it exclusively to the VM, is there anything I should take into consideration? What problems can I have? How can I solve them? I dont mind if i cant use the newer version of TIA.

you also need some modifications on the TIA Source code and Integrity Check to run it without errors and problems |

My experience with the same laptop (macbook air m2) is the following: a) as of today, all TIA versions with latest updates work fine. No need for modifications/patches b) PLCSIM V20 does not like to simulate S7 1500. 1200 is OK. PLCSIM V19 works fine for both 1200/1500. c) No drivers, so no pc adapters for profibus d) Unable to view accessible devices (layer 2 DCP protocol). I use profinet commander to assign IPs |
