So once setup is done uploaded via Ethernet etc, is a display necessary? or can all the bugging etc be done from the web access via Win10 Intend to have it on LAN which also has a fixed internet IP address Be a same if it was Many thanks in advanced Zeus

For the RCEO has no display, the settings of a new IP adres must be done by the LogoSoft software. You have to purge the CD one time only. After then you can update anytime for as long LogoSoft exists. The start IP adres is 192.168.0.1, so you must connect the LAN of a laptop/PC direct to the Logo whith an other fixed IP adres in the same subnet (192.168.0.xxx, subnet 255.255.255.0). After adusting the Logo IP adres to the reqired IP/subnet you can access the Logo from a normal network after you adjust the IP of the laptop back (to DHCP?) again.

You can not use the Web browser to enter the system menu. Little dissapointed to say the least. being a game seaver admin and owning a synolgly diskstation use to complete remote access from any pc. The manual (see attachement for details) surgests the web server does have more control/functionality then just display programmed message texts. Attachment logo.PNG (436 Downloads)

I wrote that the web server can only display programmed message texts. However, you can not use the web server to enter the system level and enter the system menu and change system settings using the web server. For example, you can enter setpoints in programmed message texts. With the web server you can use the cursor Buttons. I was concerned with my statement that you with web server not come into the system menu level. This is only possible with a LOGO! Display or the TDE. Edit: The biggest advantage of the webserver: It can provide the display and keyboard of the TDE, even if physically no TDE is present. If I have some time, I will make an example and make screen Video.

ZeusT32 Posts: 9 Rating: (0)	Sorry if my question was vague - complete newbie to the Logo8 So if I got SPS starter kit Siemens 6ED1057-3BA00-0AA8 12 Vdc, 24 Vdc between the base unit and web accesss I would have all the access/functionality to setup and use the Logo8

But to use all (possible) functions via the web server, you have to know something about the programming of a LOGO! program. If you are newcomer, not a really problem. Then the forum helps.
