Hi,

I have several Global VBS actions that are triggered on cyclic timers. Most are triggered on a user cycle of 20 seconds, but one I need to be run every second. The  VBS creates an SQL connection and updates some data in a remote server. Each cycle is only a few rows of data, read from about 10-20 tags.

The problem seems to be two:

* The 1s cyclic trigger runs irregular between about 0.6-1.2s intervals.
* There are gaps of 5-15 seconds a few times per minute where the action does not run.
** The gaps also happen if I use a "tag on-change trigger"

How can I debug the resons for the gaps? The CPU usage on the WinCC server is very low.

do you get system alarms about script overflow or script errors?

can you check in apdiag the cycle times?

if your script has cycle time >1s, the 1s trigger will cause problems

Thanks for the suggestion. I have to look at 'apdiag'. There are no errors showing at least. The script takes a few milliseconds to run, so I do not think this is the cause, but at a few times per minutethere are 5-15s long gaps, possibly when other triggers/scripts are running?

Just wanted to update on how the issue was solved.

Instead of reading each tag and insert into SQL, I use the Connectivity pack and read the values from tag logging archive. This way it was possible to read and export the values in larger batches which solved the performance issue.
