activate HART_Gate for a Siemens fail safe module

In this application I have an analog input module FAI 6*15bit Hart, 6es7 336-4ge00-0ab0. I want to enable the HART capability of module, but HART_Gate field is off and cannot be changed. In manuals there is nothing referring to this situation. Any ideas with what am I missing?

The problem was that I couldn't find any information regarding the HART parametrization in any manual of IM (360/361 or IM 153) so I assumed that if the configuration is allowed in HW Config, there won't be any problems. Somehow related to this issue when inserting a F-DI module in my configuration (for example FDI24XDC24, 6ES7 326-1BK02-0AB0) in HW Config it apears as the module has also 80 inputs (I address - 100 to 109) and 32 outpus (Q address - 100 to 103). Wikipedia The HART Communications Protocol (Highway Addressable Remote Transducer Protocol) is an early implementation of Fieldbus, ... You can use the module also central, but not with HART. The address-area of failsafe-modules seem to have more I/Os as expected, but not all of the area can be accessed. Some bytes are reserved for the ProfiSafe-protocol. Best regards, yy1

The available addresses are always at the start of the module-area. If you have doubts, you can select the module in your configuration and start the 'edit symbols' function. There you can see the available addresses, but you have to keep in mind, that if you use 1oo2-evaluation, you only may use the lower channel-address. The rest of the address-area is reserved for internal communication and mustn't be used. Best regards, yy1
