CFC deletes all blocks at download

GDA Posts: 20 Rating: (3)	I meant theuser data blocks, when you select to download the entire program CFC overwrites all datablocks, but for some blocks I would like to keep their values, without overwriting them.. do you know if there's any possibility to do this?

Normaly there is no need to make full download on running plant. You should make an upload ofthe online blocks(read back) to offline folder before starting full dowload. Or if you don't want to change offline values, just to save actual in PLC, you can make a backup of desired online blocks/values and after full download put them back to PLC. Regards Sydney

GDA Posts: 20 Rating: (3)	The problem is that I would prevent other people from overwriting my online values... If somebody else downloads the CFC program for sure he won't care about my online data blocks... At the moment what I have done is a function which copies the DB contents into the retentive Merkers area, at it copies back to the DB values at the CPU restart. It works but it's not much flexible, and the maximum amount of retentive merkers is only 4096 bytes..

You can create a DB there with the SFC82 andread the values with the SFC83. But it's allowed just in CPUs with MMC load memory and I'm not sure if it remains there while full download .
