Because to prepare the hardware configuration is not a big philosophy. Using above mentioned links is very easy. Important things are: 1. Profibus address from hardware configuration in Simatic Manager to match with configured address in MM4. 2. What quantity of data will be exchange with MM4. Select PP03 if you do not want to read or write inverter parameters; select PP01 if you do want to read/write parameters. If you want to read back data such as motor current from the inverter, it is worth considering one of the options with PZD words 3 and 4, as you can then do this without reading inverter parameters. And really in above mentioned links (http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/22078757) you can find a Step7 ready project for the same. About settings in MM440, I suggest you to follow commissioning manual, in order to enter the motor data, profibus address, type of control...). Best regards, Hristo Mihalev
