DEAR EXPERT PLEASE: COULD YOU TELL ME IF I CAN WORK WITH A CUMC INSTEAD OF A CUVC. AND IF I CAN, DO THE PARAMETERS CHANGE?, thank for your help. |

Dear flako, basically an induction motor can be driven by a CUMC (FW 1.6), instead a CUVC. -The CUMC doesn't have a encoder less speed control. -The motor can run in v/f control or if an appropriate encoder evaluation exists (Sensor Board Pulse)in closed loop speed control. -Please consider that the CUMC makes only PWM with approx. 350V output voltage. The motor will make then approx. 75% of the available torque. It will come intto the field weakening range more early. Overall, it isnot recommend operating an 3ph AC induction motor by a CUMC instead of a CUVC. For parameterising, please follow the section 6.2 in the Masterdrives MCs 1.6 compendium. |
