CUVC Power Section Identification

Bhelekhulu Posts: 28 Rating: (0)	Hi everyone, I am trying to do the CUVC Power Section Identification. My problem is I can find the PWE number corresponding to 6SE7021-8EB20 in the manual. Is there other way to do Power Section Identification? What will happen if I don’t do Power Section Identification and just carry on with paramiterisation and run the drive? Why this PWE number is not in the manual?

If you replace it, you need to take the PWE of 6SE7021-8EB61 (25) which is the same power unit, but equipped with CUVC. You must define the power section, otherwise your device may by destroyed or at least works not correctly.

diwa Silver Member Joined: 9/20/2006 Last visit: 8/1/2025 Posts: 307 Rating: (97)	in masterdrives the technology of the control cards have changed. earlier it was CU1/2/3 and now it is CUVC/CUMC. the power section remains the same for your info drive with CU1 will have type no like eg. 6SE7016-1EA10 drive with CU2 will have type no like eg. 6SE7016-1EA20 drive with CU3 will have type no like eg. 6SE7016-1EA30 drive with CUVC will have type no like eg. 6SE7016-1EA61 drive with CUMCwill have type no like eg. 6SE7016-1EA51 U CAN IGNORE THE LAST 2 DIGITS TO FIND THE PWE CODE FROM ANY MANUAL. HOPE THIS HELPS. DIWA.
