How to enter numeric inputs on touch screens?

hhauan Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	Hi. I'm writing an application for my Simatic Panel PC with Touch screen (PC 677B). Is shall be possible for the operator to enter inputs into both alphanumeric and numeric IOFields. My panel PC do not have a keyboard and mouse pointer. Is there a standard numeric panel that can be present to the operator when the IOField gets focused (trigger event) to make the user input the wanted numbers/characters sequence followed by an accept (click on visual accept-button)? I really dont want to write a non-standard IO Dialog for this, if the software tool already have a solution for it. Best regards, Helge Hauan

hhauan Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	Hi again. When I close the Monitor Keyboard, the input values disapears from the input field. Why? I'm not connected to the PLC. Another question: Is it possible to skill between alphanumeric and numeric monitor keyboard this way. The keyboard is present as alphanumeric even though it's a numeric IO field. Only number input is allowed, but it is possible to open keyboard, with only numeric keyboard present? /Helge Hauan
