How to run masterdrive above base speed.

himanshu Posts: 37 Rating: (0)	Dear Sir, I am doing commissioning of Masterdrive at Bhushan -HSM India. Motor details are as follows: Motor Voltage: 660V Motor Current:335A Motor PF: 0.78 Motor Frequency: 50Hz Motor rated Speed: 747rpm Motor maximum speed is not mentioned on the name plate which is 940rpm I want to run the motor above base speed of 740 rpm. But in that case my motor voltage increased above rated voltage of 660V & sound also starts coming from motor. I have mentioned motor rated speed(P108)=747rpm & Ref speed(P353)= 940rpm. I think there was something wrong here, as user said voltage was above 660 - rated incoming voltage should be noted first because Drive output voltage can not be increased more than Input voltage In this issue, if drive input voltage is higher, proper comissioning is required for running in Field weakening range Regards, Devesh Vithani

Then Reference speed is auto calculated. Above base speed voltage is not supposed (& can't increase above your input voltage), but only frequency rises. Normally your motor name plate ratedvoltage at ratedbase frequencyshould be the same as dirve output voltage (whose maximum value will be incoming voltage).What is the rated incoming voltage of the drive name plate? 690 V or 660 V. When you are running above base speed mechanical equipment tolerance connected to motor is also to be taken care apart from electricl load on motor regards, Vijay
