I need information abou replacing a defective CU2 with CU3

Graeme Platinum Expert Joined: 6/4/2008 Last visit: 8/5/2025 Posts: 1518 Rating: (327)	Hi, are you sure you want to do this, a CU3 was the predecessor to the modern CUMC card, CU1 and CU2 were Vector control. I'm not surprised there is no guide, no-one would normally do this upgrade. It should be possible, but you would need to do the same I/O checks and changes as you would for a CU2->CUVC upgrade. The main change would be in the way the drive is controlled (I'm assuming you don't want to do motion control), just run it in V/F or speed control. Good luck.
