Logo communication issue

AEAS Ranchi Posts: 10 Rating: (0)	Hello, I am new user for LOGO! I am facing two problems. 1. I am not able to communicate between LOGO! (6ED1052-1HB00-0BA8) and PC. I have soft comfort V7. I put IP 192.168.0.2 in TCP/IP with sub net 255.255.255.0 and IP 192.168.0.1with same subnet in LOGO! program interface. How ever I am not able to communicate between both. 2. I scrolled screen of LOGO! for checking the setting. Previously I was getting first scree from where I was able to program from LOGO!. Now I am not getting that screen. My LOGO! screen has stuck on "Setup, Network, Diagnostics" page. I am able to enter in these menu but not able to come back from this screen to home screen from where i could program through LOGO! Please guide me.... Irshad

ixo65 Grandmaster Joined: 12/18/2014 Last visit: 9/7/2025 Posts: 35933 Rating: (4498)	In order to communicate with the Logo 0BA8, you need the LOGO! Soft Comfort version 8. If you have a full version of Version 7, you can download the free upgrade to version V8: https://w3.siemens.com/mcms/programmable-logic-controller/en/logic-module-logo/demo-software/Pages/Default.aspx Start the Setup as an administrator.

I tried to write program directly in LOGO! but AND, OR, Timer etc. functions are not coming. I feeI that I am doing some mistake. If yes then plz guide me. If I write program in version 7 and copy in SD card then is it possible to work that program in LOGO or not???

ixo65 Grandmaster Joined: 12/18/2014 Last visit: 9/7/2025 Posts: 35933 Rating: (4498)	With the demo version you can not communicate the Logo, you must have the full version. If you have the version 7 as a full version, you can (as already written) upgrade for free to version 8. With Version 7, you can not create the program for an 0BA8, because you can not select the 0BA8 as hardware. With the demo version of V8, you can create the program and save to SD card. However, this is with the file extension "bin" and not as "LSC". Here, the filename "LOGO_U_P.bin" is mandatory. Then, the program runs in the 0BA8, but you may not use the online functions.
