MAS 21: plc can go online only after restart

liuyue Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	Hi to all , I work on a project with s7-200 224xp , md720-3 and micro sc with client program i wrote with MFC. the OPC client program and the MicroSC OPC server worked On the same PC with the standard Ethernet card. The system worked well for about 1 month (reading and sending the data from/to PLC), then the plcwent offline. I must restart PLC, and The connection can be established again. but after some time(about 20-30 days), the same thing arose again. The PC is located in the office and is on LAN with other PCs. The LAN is connected to the router. On the router is configured the virtual server that has port forwarding to the IP of the SCADA router with port 26862. The router has the static IP address. I configured "status monitoring by value update,interval 15 seconds" on MicroSC OPC server. In the attached file you can see the log file from MicroSC OPC server and program in S7-200 PLCs. Does anybody have similar experience? What could be the reason for such errors and what can be done to resolve these problems? Server couldn't reach modem from remote station, because modem lost connection. This can have different causes: - bad signal quality at remote station location - GPRS provider kills connection because of to much traffic or other problems at provider side - modem has failure - server lost connection to internet Because it runs month ago, I can't believe that program is broken. So please check firstly server connection, maybe there is a problem in your local network or with internet provider or static IP address (sometimes a restart helpes) After that check GPRS quality and availability at remote station. Call your provider and ask for eventual problems. Try to reset modem to factory default by pressing the SET-Button on modem for more then 3 seconds until C-LED is on. Call your provider and ask for eventual problems. GPRS quality is good, and remote station plc is also available. --Try to reset modem to factory default by pressing the SET-Button on modem for more then 3 seconds until C-LED is on. next time, when plc go offline, i will try to reset modem. previously, after plc went offline, it must be restart(power off or from stop to run), and then the connection can be reestablished. i will Call the provider and ask for eventual problems. thanks

liuyue Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	yes, i met the same problem as Darius, buthow do plcknowit is offline? my program nerver enanble"start"of WDC_SEND. micro sc get data from plc, and plc don't send data to micro sc initiatively.

Means the plc is blind until you start WDC_send and get an aborted. Do i understand you correctly: When the Remote Station disconnects, you have to restart the RS manually? Thats a joke, isn´t it? Didn´t it not reconnect over time? Did you try to set the update-time to >40sec. in your SINAUT Micro SC? Do you use beneth to the OPC-mode, the AT-mode for SMS-sending or something like that? regards

I haven't tried to set the update-time to >40sec. in SINAUT Micro SC, and I will try it. Previously, I used SMS-sending, but later I deleted SMS-sending program. regards

Lifrasil Bronze Member Joined: 9/29/2005 Last visit: 7/16/2025 Posts: 313 Rating: (24)	Hi again, I haven't tried to set the update-time to >40sec. in SINAUT Micro SC, and I will try it Just for your understanding: the ppi-cable is unidirectional and has the priority on receiving (standing on the s7-200 side). means when the s7-200 sends something and exact at the same time a telegram from the internet comes in, there will be a collision. Means further the telegram from the s7-200 get lost. That´s happen very rarely and normally the s7-200 reconnects after a couple fo seconds. Increasing now the refresh-time can avoid the collision. When your station got stuck, could you please so kind to make a screenshot of the "online-status" of the blocks - wdc_init and - wdc_control furthermore i want you to send me your program (or simply attach it here in the forum). maybe i can help you....
