Manju Posts: 39 Rating: (0)	Hi, I need a help with respect to Tag logging and Printing the same on a report. I have about 40 real values which are logged for every 1 second (selective logging). Now when I print it with a report using a Tag table our customer needs an option to select the cycle time for printing. For example if the print cycle is 1 second then in one day I get 606024=86400 values in the report. So the customer needs an option to select the print cycle time. Now if the cycle time is 1 hour then when I print the report then I get 24 values for 1 day. If the cycle time is 30 minutes then I should get 48 values in the report in a day. Is there any option in WinCC where I can selectively choose the report cycle time for an archive?? Regards, Manju

Manju Posts: 39 Rating: (0)	Hi Dileep, But this is not what I want. What you have mentioned is a dialog for the Time Range selection. But I need a time factor selection. That is if a Tag is logged for every 1 sec then there will be too many values in an hour. But in the report I need values for every 1 minute or every 10 minutes so that the amount of records in the report will be less. But the time duration will be same (i.e, From Time and To Time). Danielle Posts: 1275 Rating: (123)	Hi, Rit, I think your solution will get the report to be printed with ttaht times / tag event. I think what Manju wnats is to filter the data to be printed, so that if a 1-hour cycle is pecked, only values logged every hour will be printed. I think you'll have to filter the archive data to be printed and assemble your report with that. The catch is you'll have to "tell" the system which data to look for. For instance - if the user wants to print values with a 1-hour cycle, where will the filter start? Does the user want values logged at HH:00:00? or could it be HH:13:54? What you could do is set some options for the user. If the user chooses 1-hour, for instance, the system automatically filters all data logged at HH:00:00, and prints this data. Like I said, with this solution you'd have to query the database for that information. Best regards, Danielle

Manju Posts: 39 Rating: (0)	Hi rit03, Thanks for the reply. But I think you have got it wrong again. I don't want to print the report for every 10 minutes or for a set cycle. The report will be printed with a click of a button. Only thing is that the contents of the report. As the tags are being logged for every 1 sec, I need an option of a time factor to print the values on the report. If the time factor is 1 sec then I will get 3600 logged values for a time range of 1 hour. If the time factor is 1 minute then I will get 60 logged values for a time range of 1 hour. If the time factor is 10 minutes then I will get 6 logged values for a time range of 1 hour. I need this time factor to be variable and this should be specified before printing the report. I hope a solution is available for this problem . Regards, Manju

Do I need a WinCC Connectivity Pack option? Are there any examples? I think the data will be compressed isn't it? If yes then should I look into multiple tables in the RT DB??? (May be I can change the filter start time based on the first record's time stamp !!!) Regards, Manju

But I had same requirement and I had done in the following way. Step-1)Under tag logging I created two archives using same tags a)hour archive under this I set up the archiving cycle at 1 hour and, b)day archive under this archiving cycle set at 1 day. Step-2)I created two layouts under report designer and linked each one of then to these two diffrent archives. Step-3) Created two print buttons on the screen withC-action linking to these diffrent print jobs.
