Hello? Where to get the description of the function APL_OperationLog?

Dear forum,

Once again, I come to you for assistance.

I would like to set up a log of operator actions (ie. changes of SetPoint...). I know there is an embeded functionnality in PCS7, called by APL_OperationLog.

According to some things I have read on this very forum, I executed the "Message Configuration" in the OS Project Editor. Therefore, I have the message configured in Alarm Logging, which is, btw up and running.

But, when I change a SetPoint, the Diagnose window shows:

APL_OperationLog: MSRTCreateMsgInstanceWithComment szErrorText = Exception in MSG-API (pIAlarmData->Create(...) failed) / File [CRequestContext.cpp] / Line [2878]

Can you please help me understand the reason of this problem? I have tried to look at the source code of MSRTCreateMsgInstanceWithComment, but it looks like it is not available.

There is no specific documentation for these function files (*.fct) like APL_OperationLog. APL_OperationLog is a standard function for the Operation log in WinCC. The defined description for the same as mentioned in the function is "This function generates a log message and puts into WinCC Alarm Logging."

The function gets the user and block comment, copies the message data into alarmlogging structure, sends the message to alarmlogging.

You can always open these function files in Global Script C in WinCC Explorer. However, changing the script can cause abnormal behavior of runtime functions.
