With the previous product versions authorizations were used to a certain extent. Authorization of SIMATIC Industry Software requires a red or yellow authorization disk. This disk might include an older version of the Windows handling program AuthorsW or the handling program AUTHORS (MS-DOS) for transferring the authorization. Later software packages install the version V2.4.2 or V2.5.2 of AuthorsW on the hard disk and register it in the system. In this case there is no handling program on the authorization disk. Get in touch with Technical Support if your license key or authorization is defective. Technical Support will help you to restore defective license keys or authorizations.
