TP 177B PN/DP 4" REAL TIME CLOCK PROBLEM

patel Posts: 134 Rating: (2)	Dear all.... I have one problem in TP 177B PN/DP 4" PANEL. I have developed program for SET_RTC and READ_RTC in S7-200 PLC. Also i have provided provision of DATE & TIME FIELD on one screen HMI. In that field,i have selected property of ' USE TAG' .In that i have provided the tag that i configured for update of plc time. Also area pointer i have defined in connections for plc date/time.trigger mode is' cyclic continuous'. Aquisition cycle time is set to 1 minute. I designed one screen on HMI to read current date and time and also provide one provision to change the date and time of plc through hmi. Now the problem is, as soon as i update time from HMI screen,my plc time is getting updated. This i can confirm by reading current date/time from hmi screen.Also this change reflacts in DATE/TIME FIELD on one screen.So i can judge whether time has changed or not. But at the same time,whatever alarms are generated in HMI,are coming with predefined date and time of something 01/01/2009...... Now at any how,i tried a lot, but i cant change this alarms date/time to my current date/time. I download same program to TP 177B 6" and it works nicely.... Please guide me...

However, it looks like, you set the time of the PLC and display this time on a panel, but you haven't synchronized the panels time. In fact, the panels date/time is used for the alarm management. 1st: Set your Date/Time-field back to the default value "Display System Time" to confirm this. 2nd: read this FAQ carefully how to synchronize date and time between panel and PLC: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/24104104
