I am using CPU 412-5H along with PS407 10A redundant power supplies. My question is how often these batteries need to be replaced in the power supply. Is there any recommendation from siemens that these battery needs to be replaced every year as a part of maintenance or Should I advise the client to wait for BATT1 or BATT2 led to lit up and then change the batteries.

Thank you for the link. I have calculated the backup time as 431 days. I understand that if the PSU is powered off, the battery can support upto 431 days. Is this correct ? In this case I dont need to worry about changing battery during maintenance as the system will be hardly powered off (like 10-20 days in a year). I just require this info for the maintenance document.

Normally SIEMENS tell you to change the batteries every year, I personally change every year to be sure, even if they could last much longer.

10-20 days in a year is not really a problem.
