I also have to communicate to Atlas Copco G160 Combox P to Siemens S7 400. Is there any downloadable faceplates and blocks availibe for PCS7 that can readibly be used to save time and resources.

Dear Sir/Madam, I have a project as follows : supervise three air compessors of AtlasCopco via Profibus. Atlas have supplied the Combox-P to communicate 3nos compressor to Profibus over Siemens PLC S7 400 (CPU 414-3PN/DP). I have manual(9820_3582_03__User_Guide_MKIV_Profibus_Edition_06) and GSD file . Though my slave connections are ok but i could not fetch any good data. Also i have asked support from Atlas but unfortunately they don't know much about PLC side. i am using SFC14 for reading the data. but as it it master slave comunication something needs to be send from master PLC to receive appropriate data.I request you suggest how to program the blocks in s7 PLC for sending and receiving data. I am sending you a example of my code for communication with ATLAS-COPCO through Combox-P gateway. In my case, I am reading 6 parameters (=actual values) from 2 compressors. You can easilly expand this to more compressors.

But first, please read the post on link, which was sent to you from Daniel Chartier.

And also, additionally:

1. Combox must first be properly programmed (I believe, by Atlas Copco people). The telegram lenght must be properly set on COMBOX side. See the telegram lenght from my example, in HW config.

2. At the time, when I was dealing with this problem (in year 2007), I could not find a GSD file for Combox anywhere. Therefore, I have written it for myself, according to instruction from manual for Combox, that was available at the time.As you will see in my project, I could not establish a greater consistency then 1 byteand I am not using SFC14/15. If you manage to work with another GSD file (and establishbigger consistency!), then simple replace NW 21 and 22 in FB 510 withSFC14/15.

in the example you use 32 input and 32 output bytes, a buffer size (telegram lenght) setting device it corresponds?
