S7-1500 3AN01 is installed and it is programmed by TIA portal v15. Now the recommended successor by siemens for 3AN01 is 3AP03. but if I check, 3AP03 is not available in TIA portal v15. so will it work if we just insert old MMC into 3AP03?  can we go online with the new CPU as it is not available in HW configuration of TIA portal v15

According to Siemens info:

As far as I know, when there  are two jumps between successors, compatibility is not guaranteed.

As you can read in the next FAQ, when the CPU is replaced with a successor you can leave the original one in the project but in this case I would contact Siemens:

How do you find the right successor product if the existing product has already been discontinued?
