We are attempting to perform a Ghost image restore on a 840D PCU50 (6FC5210-0DF02-0AA0). This PCU50 has SERVICEMENU 02.03.08, so it is very old (there no 'Change Network Settings' to switch between TCP/IP and NETbeui network protocols-it is only NETbeui) We have already:1.Installed and enabled NETbeui protocol on external PC 2.Enabled ‘File and Printer Sharing’ on external PC 3.Set up our external PC with the workgroup name of WORKGROUP 4.Enabled ‘Use simple file sharing’ on external PC 5.Set up a shared folder on the external PC with ‘Share this folder on the network’ enabled and ‘Allow network users to change my files’ enabled 6.Turned off the external PC’s firewall 7. Are using a known good Ethernet cross over cable between the PCU50 and the external PC (external PC isrunning Windows XP) (jumping ahead in the SERVICEMENU Restore procedure…) We select ‘1Connect toNetwork Drive’ and enter G as the ‘Letter for Network Drive’. Next, we enter\\ExternalComputerName\SharedFolder informationfor ‘Directory to be mounted’. The next message that appears is ‘Enter User Name or press ENTER if it is AUDUSER’ Here we enterthe User Name of the external PC. The next message is ‘Type your password’ and we enter the password of the external PC. There is a short delay on the PCU50 as it searches the network (we are using simply peer to peer, but the PCU50 and the external PC) We witness Ethernet LED blinking on the Ethernet port on the PCU50, however it returns a message of ‘Password is invalid for \\ExternalComputerName\SharedFolder. Re-enter your password’ Again we re-enter the external PC’s password and another message appears on the PCU50 of ‘Login failed’
We have also tried using AUDUSER as the User Name and Siemens password authorization level 0 of SUN***E; still no luck. Any suggestions are welcomed. |
