Hello,

i need several computers with sinutrain connected to one license server installed with automation license manager. The idea behind is, that we are going to have more sinutrain computers than floating licenses.

I tried to connect several computers with automation license manager version 6.0 sp8 64bit version (newest), and I have problem connecting win10 computers.

Tests I have done:

- reinstalled the ALM

- before and after all changes below, i could still ping all computers

- connecting via ALM with ip / network name

- turn off firewall

- turn off antivirus

- network profile set to home/private

- direct lan cable connection between computers and fixed ip

- connection via wifi router, with automatic dhcp

- enabling service: function discovery provider host from manual to automatic

- turn features on or off: enabling .NET Framework 3.5 :

- restarting the adapter with these commands as .bat file:

ipconfig /release

ipconfig /flushdns

ipconfig /renew

netsh winsock reset

netsh interface ipv4 reset

netsh interface ipv6 reset

netsh winsock reset catalog

netsh int ipv4 reset reset.log

netsh int ipv6 reset reset.log

netsh advfirewall reset

RESULTS:

- i have only one win7 machine, but connection between win 7 machine and win 7 virtual machine is possible,I can see licenses on virtual win7

- on win7 machine, in ALM: EDIT>connect computer>Browse>Entire network>Microsoft windows network>WORKGROUP I can see win 10 machines, but when connecting it says:

     „Computer ‚DESKTOP-ENTHRBH:4410‘. Is not accessible“

- on win10 machine, in ALM: EDIT>connect computer>Browse>Entire network>Microsoft windows network> I cant see any machines, with error WnetOpenEnum "While browsing the network, Microsoft Windows Network returned an error with the number 0x000017E6"

- on win 10 machine, when connecting with name/IP :"Computer computername is not accessible"

- no connection possible between win10 – win 10 machine or win 10-win 7 machines

-The computers tested are simatic PG with all windows updates

Im sure there is problem between ALM and win win10, please advise how to connect win 10 computers.

Hello Matio,

I recommend to check whether you have the rights for read and write on the folder who you had installed the ALM. The ALM V6.0 SP8 should be compatible with Windows 10 1903.

After deinstallation of the ALM restart the windows and Delete the Automation License Manager folder and the subdirectories under: "C: \ ProgramData \ Siemens \ Automation \ Automation License Manager".

Just try it befor waiting for an answer to an almost 3 year old post?
