Hi, i too have the similar setup. Cpu 1215c dc/dc/rly and signal module sm 1222 DQ 8 x 24v, but i cannot seem to configure the hardware outputs for PTO. However, for signal board sb 1222 DQ 4 x 24v, it was able to automatically configure the hardware outputs since it is connected directly onto the CPU and could configure. So is there a way to use the signal module instead, as ultimatum is to control 4 stepper motor or is there other alternatives. Please help tqsm! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |

The word "relay" should already have been a clue. A relay simply do not switch at higher frequencies. It is part of proper fundamentals about electrical systems that should lay the foundation before starting to design industrial systems. Freelance programmers skip that part and get punished for it at some point. The System Manual for the S7-1200 [LINK] is a valuable resource. An extract is shown as a picture which highlights differences between relay outputs and transistor outputs. Note the frequency and life span of each. |
