Dear Forum members,

I am a mechanical engineering student. I want to control a "sinamics v90" servo-system using a "Simatic s7-1200" controller.

The motion desired is:

1. Clockwise and anticlockwise motion with an angle range of 90^o.

2. Speed of the shaft is 60 rpm.

To imagine the scenario,  we can think of a critically damped pendulum with an amplitude of ±45^o(the amplitude remains same)

I would like to know if there are any reference examples or tutorial or any materials which could help me in achieving the desired motion.

I know the question asked is very fundamental to be posted in this group. But, this is my first attempt at motion control and I would be grateful for your suggestions.

I want to control a "sinamics v90" servo-system using a "Simatic s7-1200" controller.

In case your V90 is having Profinet interface, I'd advise you to use it. And on the S7 side use a technology object TO_PositioningAxis.
