I have a projects with some PLCs and IODevices, and I want some of them to exchange data. In these cases, I always configure a "Life bit" to diagnose and get an alarm if the communication fails, but I always configured/programed this manually.

There is any way to do it with some integrated configuration in the CPUs/IO Devices?

Maybe there is some Siemens Function for that?

Maybe something related with update time and watchdog time from Profinet interface configuration... I searched about that, but I couldn't find any solution to implement.

DeviceStates is something that might intrest you. You can query the status of the whole I/O system and get different status states, depending on the mode you select.
