configuration of Et200S im151-8 pn/dp on modbus communication

Hello black_star, you can use the PN interface of IM151-8. A license of 2XV9 450-1MB02 is required. All necessary information can be found on www.siemens.com/s7modbus. There you will also find a download application for a demo version of the library. Regards, Kaulquappe |

hi guys.. is there any limitation for the distance between the ET200S station and the third party system ? it will communicate up to how long ?? |

Hello black_star For Modbus TCP/IP - The distance limitations imposed by Ethernet Hardware apply. Maximum Recommended distance between two Etnernet switches is 100m ( with Electrical network. ) Can be increased by going in in between switches orby using a F.O. network with F.O. switches. ( May be upto 4km with Multimode Fiber ) and much more with Monomode FIber network. For ModbusRTU - The distance limitations imposed byRS485 Hardware apply. For a typical baud rate of 9.6kbps the distance can be upto 1200 meters ( With good quality screened cable ) Hope this helps Cheers Navnag |
