Good morning, I have a cpu (s7 1200 / CPU 1214C DC/DC/DC) that was working normally for 8 months and suddenly the cpu’s light turned to red. The cpu has up 192.168.11.60 but I can’t find it on network so I can find the error. Maybe the cpu has lost the firmware? If yes, how i can replace the firmware, if i cannot find it on the network? Is it normal the firmware suddenly to get lost? Best Regards ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |

Hi, If you would like to update/recover the firmware, you can use a SIMATIC Memory Card as an firmware-update card. So you do not need any online-connection. It is described in the S7-1200 manual. SIMATIC S7 S7-1200 Programmable controllerCan you ping the CPU? regards sancruz |

In TIA Portal's project tree, towards the bottom is "Online access". Expand that, then expand the network adapter connected to the PLC. Have it update the display and see if your PLC is showing as visible. If so, you can access the PLC "Online & diagnostics" area there.
