Ethernet connection to S7-314C-2DP

Not all S7-300 CPU and CPs support T blocks and open TCP communication. I've tried to use open ethernet example and saw that I get error and diagnostic says that SFC131,SFC133,SFC134 is not loaded. So I can't use open ethernet on S7-300 side. So is it any possibilty to pragram connection between S7-314C-2DP with 343-1 LEAN CP and S7-1200 ?

J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (412)	Dear Darius, I am not sure... but the T-Communication and especially its SFCs are only implemented to the PLCs carrying a PN interface. Therefore the use of T-Functions with S7-CPUs without PN interface will certainly not work. What I wonder is who told you to use T-Comm. blocks with a CP? As far as I remember the S7-300 never supported T-Comm. and will not... at least as far as I see it right now. OK, the S7-400 CPs do... right. With the S7-300 CPs you must use AG_SEND / AG_RECV from the SIMATIC NET Lib for the S7-300 PLCs. Nothing else will work. May this FAQ will help you to understand: What are the commonalities and differences between configured communication connections and the open Ethernet communication? Best regards J_Bell

Have anyone tried really to connect S7-1200 with S7-300 by using T blocks at S7-1200 side ant AG_SEND/AG_RECEIVE at S7-300 side ? Now I'm trying to do it, but have very strange issues. Sometimes everything is ok, but more often I get problem when make a connection from S7-1200 side. After making connection my Step-7 Basic hangs online connection and nothing is working anymore. I've seend data exchanging S7-1200 <---> S7-300, but its very unstable. Maybe anyone has some solutions or advices ? Normally Siemens recommends to use PUT/GET blocks with S7-1200, but I can't use them by using CP-343-1 Lean as it can only be S7 connection server. Please help with some advices.

Anyway when you make program which incorrectly handles communication then its not possible to connect to PLC via online interface. Thats very strange. I''ve noticed that in order to connect to PLC you need to connect it directly (disconnect partner PLC) to PG and restart power. Now I have fully functional ethernet connection S7-1200 <---> CP343-1 Lean <---> S7-314C-2DP. The problem is still mystery to me. Why I couldn''t go online when TCON block REQ signal was set from watch table ? Is it possible that on the moment I set manually REQ, PLC makes something with interface and loose connection to PG ? Especially right after restart of PLC or after you break connection and restore again. So it was solved by changing program that AG_SEND sends on time pulses or what is even better taking in account DONE signal. Then you send as soon as previous job is finished.
