I have a pc application. use s7netplus connect to the PLC1500. How does the PLC know the connection status? Is there a way that PLC could know if the connection is established or not?

I found the temporary connection endpoints (for example endpoints created when you connect to an engineering station) cannot be diagnosed, as no connection ID is generated in this process.  So it does not work for connections created by S7netplus.

Hi,

in TIA you can use instruction T_DIAG. You use the "T_DIAG" instruction to check the status of a connection and read further information on the local end point of this connection. T_Diag works with projected connections - Hope this helps.

It depends on how the S7-1500 side looks like. 

Alternate idea: Create a heartbeat signal. The PC sends out a bit or number that regularly changes. The PLC then checks if this heartbeat is changing or standing still. A heartbeat from the PLC to the PC can also be done.
