Hi,

I am new to siemens 840D/840Di system. I want to take PLC backup using my laptop and simatic manager software with ethernet port. 

When i connect my laptop with NC and search for accessible nodes. Software shows nothing. 

Then i searched for IP address and entered IP address manually. selected node 0 slot 2 still no response from NC or PLC. 

Can someone share procedure of taking backup using LAN cable and Simatic manager software.
