During my first test with the IoT2040 following the excellent guide SIMATIC_IOT2000_Getting_Started_V1.0.pdf, I found two issues that might be helpful for others to know for saving time.

After downloading the actual Intel System Studio IoT Edition as described in the document, the Software does not detect the IoT2000 correctly with the preconfigured image from Siemens. Reason for this, the device detection script looks for “edision” in the response of uname, but IoT2000 reply:

Better solution might be to add “edison” as part of the uname of the preconfigured kernel.

Second issue was, that I had to add the line

arch i586 12

to /etc/opkg/ arch.conf in order to sucessful sync the needed packages mraa and upm by the Studio IoT Edition.

Also, I have another doubt.. While I try to install intel system studio for IOT Edition, it is showing that  CPU not supported.. What is to be done???

Is it necessary to install Docker before that. If so docker for which linux distribution is to be installed.. Yocto is not showing in the list..
