The file was only an EXAMPLE, my question was related where to find a reference manual for ALL the alarm codes as you can see in this line "ERROR: 2215 2215" there is no error description inside The question is: which is the text related with alarm code nr. 2215 ? The same for all the codes.... see you Ciao Paolo

APC Tech Team Posts: 391 Rating: (52)	paololeo Thank you CNC_RAUDI as you can see in this line "ERROR: 2215 2215" there is no error description inside there is no reference manual to the error numbers normally the second number should be substituted with a text ERROR: 2215 Variable not defined or invalid property Row:59 Column:1 -> END_IF Do the easyscreen_log changes if you change the HMI language to English or German ?

Maybe is it depends on the sw versions ? This is my system: NCU 720.2 with sw versions: SystemSoftware NCU V02.07 +SP2 +HF02 Sinumerik Operate 04.04.02.02 Thank you Bye Paolo

Clive Thorne Posts: 18 Rating: (0)	My opinion of EasyScreen is that its one of the worse bits of Siemens software out there: Your problem with errors You can type in lines that make the HMI completely crash, without any error message in the log You can type lines that simply don't work, but don't report an error either Some examples in the manual just don't work There are features available that do not appear in the manual. Etc etc. It's as if it was written as a utility for use by Siemens themselves, and then they decided to release it, ie full of bugs and not properly supported. Also, why are we still having to work with text files for this rather than some sort of graphical package. Unfortunately we seem stuck with it. If anyone from Siemens is reading this then please take note.!

V5.xx (Year 2003) and I spent a lot of time in finding to make running a few simple pages. every time I start I new project I expect the tool more reliable but always I find bugs or "strange behaviours" to workaround. more than you wrote If you make a little bit more complex project, it become VERY SLOW in runnnig You have no effective help from Siemens other than this forum, if you're lucky! Very often you find bugs that need Siemens system software update, You ask Siemens deales that ask technicians...and so on. At the end your project is stopped for weeks .... If more than 5 pages you should by a licence. Sometimes Siemens dealers recomend using this tool to machine builders I do not undestand if they don't enbed a STANDARD scriping tool like Phyton or similars, without manifacture a new syntax for such a tool. Other cnc makers do it. I used MyHMIPro/Transline2000 and here yuo find JScript, a easy and reliable tool. Meanwhile ... we wait Regards Paolo
