Hi,

I'm trying to connect a S7-1200 CPU with a FESTO CPX terminal module. With profinet comm.

So i download the latest gsdml file from the Festo website:

In TIA portal ( Currently using V13 SP1 UPD7) i instal the gsdml file, it gives me the screen that it installed correctly.

But can't find the profinet cpx module in the catalog.

For test I tried the Profibus gsd file, and that works fine.

Another test:

In step 7 simatic manager, the gsdml file for profinet works fine, i can add the CPX module to a profinet network.

My question, is there a difference between gsdml files for simatic manager and TIA?

Does anybody want to try to add the gsdml file and add a profinet cpx module to a network? Just to check the gsdml file or maybe there is a problem with my TIA installation.

I contacted Festo, but i'm getting the feeling the tech guy doesn't uses siemens very often.

When you visited the Festo site and searched for the gsdml profinet file, did you find a newer version available and decide that would not work for your application?  If so, what did Festo Support say when you asked them for the older version of the GSDML file from 2015?
