Hi guys, I am having troubles to connect to any S7-1200 CPU with my TIA portal V13 update1 BASIC. TIA cannot find any accessible devices on network even when I am connected via lan directly to CPU. Software worked for me since version V11. Even with V13 Update 1 I was able to program couple of S7-1200 before. What I tried to do:
Any help would be much appreciated, Attachmentsiemensdetectionerror.zip (2795 Downloads) |

Hi. You have done everything I would have. I assume you also tried connecting PC to the panel. By now I would have moved to another PC and created a support request.. Support Request You do not have a firmware 4.0 PLC so you can use TIA11. A friend of mine has switched to another license (TIA13) but is still running on TIA11 software. If I were you, I would install TIA11 on a different PC while waiting for an answer that is more helpful than mine. I have read somewhere that HP computers have had some issues. Something to do with the driver for the keyboard. I can not remember the details so it may not even be helpful. Have you tried connected through a switch? If it is a modem/switch with WiFi, even better. If you can try to connect via WiFi to the switch which is linked to the PLC. I do that all the time with PLC and panel connected to the switch. Strangely enough my Dell seems to prefer this connection type. Sorry.. that is all I have to offer. Good luck! w |

I already contacted support request with my issue yesterday on the morning - no one replied since than. I guess I will have to wait more (even when its hard as projects for PLC programming are piling up at my desk). I will leave this option installing V11 for later - software is working with my collegues laptop just fine. Oddly enough he has the same HW laptop, samy type as I do and he got no problems with connecting to PLCs. So I am guessing this issue is software related. It was adviced to me also to try S7-1200 tool in order to assign IP address to PLC prior to programming. Even this software is not working for me. After installation I tried to run it. It says that my current communication settings are not compatible (see startup-message.jpg). After clicking yes, it opens PC/PC interface. I have setuped Realtek TCP/IP Auto interface with S7Online option. When I click OK, incompatibility message in S7-1200 tool appears again. I tried many options, not even one was compatible to work with S7-1200 tool. |

My issue is still the same. I asked for Support from Siemens (you can send your request too), I was contacted to run two diagnostic SWs I send files for analysis to Siemens, I was contacted by Siemens by phone, we checked every possible setting I spend two weeks trying to solve my issue - with (if even) little success. Siemens guys didnt helped me, but this is what I found out: If I connect my PLC or HMI to wifi router and I connect to the network with my PC trough WIFI I am able to trace or even program the PLC and HMI. Little disadvantage is I have to have at least some program or configuration previously loaded to the PLC. So I always make a hardware configuration on my collegues laptop, upload it to PLC and than I am able to program the PLC with my laptop too. I gave up to search cause of the problem. I will reinstall my system when there will be less work to get done or we will buy more powerfull laptop for this job. |
